I finally bought myself a Ninja Blender. With the Whole Life Challenge in full swing, I find that sometimes making a smoothie is the easiest way to go on a busy morning or afternoon, but I’m a stickler about appliances and did not think my current blender was up to snuff.  Sure, It does the job just fine when it comes to bulletproof coffee, but I’m talking about drinking spinach here.  You really need something that’s gonna seriously pulverize. WLC doesn’t allow for fruit juice either, so we’re talking whole apples, oranges, pineapple chunks..you know…whole fruit.  I’m not trying to drink baby food.  So, on a slightly less frigid Monday morning I stumbled upon a 20% off coupon for and got myself a bad ass blender. Of course, I had to test it out immediately and gosh darn was I happy with the result.  This is my first green smoothie and it was quite the delicious lunch.

Tropical Green Smoothie
1 cup spinach
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen mango
1 small banana
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup coconut water
1 tsp vanilla
*1 scoop Gelatin protein if you so desire

Put in blender and go until smooth. Wow. That was hard.

Plan on seeing more smoothies from me in the coming weeks. Don’t worry, I won’t put up anything that is gross. If it’s up here, you can be assured it was delicious.
