Today starts a seven day stretch of two shakes a day.  It’s so important when doing this to get adequate nutrition through fruits, fats, protein and veggies.  I will go for one green shake and one sweeter shake each day to give you (and myself) a nice variety.  We’ve got a winner today.

I got back from the box and really wanted something sweet. I also wanted coffee. We had hit 11.1: 10 Min AMRAP, 30 Double Unders / 15 Power Snatches. I wanted some protein and some good carbs to reload. It’s a snowy day here in NJ today and I had started the generic snow-day-sweets craving. Enter: The Toblerone Cold Chocolate.  Put all ingredients in a blender and GO!

Toberlone Cold Chocolate

1/2 banana
3 tbsp hazelnuts or macadamia nuts
1 tbsp cocoa powder (no sugar!)
1 tbsp date puree (or two pitted dates)
1/4 cup brewed coffee
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tsp vanilla (no alcohol if WLC)
1 raw egg (organic, farm, cage free)
Ice
