My focus is, first and foremost, good health and never how you look at its expense. Still, if we’re being honest, looking good and feeling confident doesn’t suck either. That’s where this whole thing started.  I thought I was doing everything right. Eating Paleo most of the time, just a few cheat days here and there. Working out. Only drinking on the weekends. Still, I never really reached my goals. I still had some issues sleeping. I was still breaking out every week out of, what I thought, was nowhere. I still didn’t feel like I looked the way I should. I felt a little tried, a little bloated, and a little moody.

Even so, I was no longer willing to sacrifice my health or mental sanity.  So, a test. A test to see what a month of not only removing problem foods, but making specific additions with the focus of healing my gut. It was like the skies finally opened up. No calorie counting, no starving, no weird shakes or pills. Just eating real food, and listening to my bodies innate hunger queues. Being thoughtful about why I was eating what I was eating and making a careful effort to add things that I knew would not only heal my gut, but in turn balance my hormones, fix blood sugar issues, and get rid of pesky food cravings. I finally found the fix. And it wasn’t even that hard. I discovered that I could work with my body, instead of against it, and it would find fitness and health on its own. I just had to give it what it needed.
